Crew / Passengers Rank - if applicable Position e.g. Pilot Status
John Rossman Tinklepaugh 1st Lieutenant Pilot Killed
Guy Waller 1st Lieutenant Passenger Killed

The aircraft was flying from Sculthorpe near Fakenham in Norfolk to Burtonwood so the passenger, also a pilot, could pick up an F-84 which had been at Burtonwood for maintenance and fly it back to Sculthorpe.  The aircraft was misidentified by a G.C.A. controller at Burtonwood and was 'guided' into the hillside.
