The pilot was on Local Flying Practice from RAF Tern Hill when he became lost after carrying out a series of steep turns and entered poor weather. He carried out a wheels up forced landing close to the village of Youlgreave, near Bakewell.
The aircraft received the normal level of damage caused by a wheels up landing but was in a repairable state.
