Anson Mk.I N9912 of 25 OTU crashed on Whitwell Moor, Bolderstones, Stocksbridge,
31st March 1941 while on a night navigation exercise from RAF Finningley.

All four men onboard lost their lives during operational flying on
the 29th August 1941 while flying with 49 Sqn. Their aircraft Hampden Mk.I AE126
was shot down by a night-fighter of 4./NJG1.
