Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV L4873 of 90 Squadron RAF, flew into Foel Wen in the Berwyn Mountains after breaking formation from two other aircraft after entering cloud on the 23rd March 1940.

Quite a large amount of wreckage from L4873 still lies high up on Foel Wen. This is part of the main spar, it was once complete but over the past few years has broken into four sections.
