Avro Anson Mk.I MG804 8 (Observer) Advanced Flying Unit crashed on Foel Fras in the Carneddau on the 12th July 1944 while on a navigation training flight from Mona on Anglesey.

Above is the crash site of MG804 at 3000' on Foel Fras, there are three separate burnt patches possibly one for each wing and another for the fuselage.

The aircraft's undercarriage can still be found at the site.
Myself holding up a piece from on the aircraft's wings, as you will be able to see it is about 11' tall.
