Julian Mark Baden Lewis Flight Lieutenant Pilot (Student) Killed

 

Flight Lieutenants Lane and Lewis left RAF Valley on Anglesey for a low level training exercise which would have taken the aircraft to RAF Lossiemouth near Inverness.  The pair took off at about 10:20, shortly after while flying in light cloud the aircraft struck Clagh Ouyr and broke up over a wide area killing the two crew instantly.
