Wreckage at the crash site of Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIC LF207 near Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan — Above are some of the remains of the Hurricane that flew into the hill just above Kilchoan. Much of the aircraft seemed to have ended up in two small lochans near where these parts were found. These parts had been recovered from the water around the time of my first visit in 2000, more recent visits have yielded more wreckage though these pieces have disintegrated.

Grave of Flight Lieutenant Arthur John Woodgate, killed in Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIC LF207 near Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan — Flight Lieutenant Woodgate was buried at Troon Cemetery in Ayrshire, above is his grave, which he shares with his then fiancee’s family.
