Avro Anson Mk.I N9912 of No.25 OTU crashed on Whitwell Moor, Stocksbridge on the 31st March 1941 while on a night navigation exercise from RAF Finningley

Pilot Officer Fournier was killed during operational flying on the 29th August 1941 while flying with No.49 Sqn. The aircraft he was flying, Hampden Mk.I AE126 was shot down by a night-fighter of 4./NJG1 killing the four crew.
