Miles Master Mk.I N7870 of No.5 F.T.S. forced landed at Youlgreave on the 26th March 1941

The pilot was on Local Flying Practice from RAF Ternhill when he became lost after carrying out a series of steep turns and entered poor weather. He carried out a wheels up forced landing close to the village of Youlgreave, near Bakewell.

The aircraft received the normal level of damage caused by a wheels up landing but was in a repairable state.
