Former ski tow on Lowther Hill near Wanlockhead
While nothing to do aviation an interesting feature on Lowther Hill, besides the NATS radar station and various other transmitters, is this former tractor which is a short way down the hill from the crash site of W9112. It was used in the Wanlockhead / Leadhills area during the 1960s and 1970s as ski tow and when it was finally retired from use it stayed where it was.
