Avro Anson Mk.I N9858 of No.10 FTS crashed in Wildboarclough on the 14th November 1940

 

Martin James Walton Taylor Leading Aircraftman Pilot Killed

 

The pilot of the aircraft was on a solo cross country navigation exercise from RAF Ternhill near Market Drayton in Shropshire when he became lost in low cloud and flew into high ground on the eastern side of Wildboarclough close to Dane Bower.
