de Havilland Dragon Rapide G-ALBC, Crashed near the summit of Kinder Scout on the 30th December 1963 when the aircraft was caught by a down draught while flying from Middle St George (now Teeside airport) to Ringway.

Above is the sole remaining engine of the aircraft. It has been stripped clean of all the removable items.

 

A general photo of the wreckage as it appeared in the summer of 2000, since then the parts have moved slightly to the right and some of the steel parts have broken up.
